Tonight a very special animal arrived at SanWild after leaving the United Kingdom yesterday. A brown hyena named Scar was donated to SanWild by the Aspinall Foundation. He was born in the Port Lympne Wild Animal Park.
Scar will spend some time in a temporary holding and release boma to settle down and start the final phase of rehabilitation in order to be released to the wild in about 8 months time. We will keep you updated on his progress, but we are confident that he will make the transition from being a captive bred animal to a wild animal without any major problems.
